Qualifications Authority enhances service delivery with Evaluation Automation System

The Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA), in partnership with Green Enterprise Solutions, on Wednesday launched an Evaluation Automation System to redefine qualification evaluation services in the country.

The launch marked a major milestone in the digital transformation agenda and reinforces a shared commitment to leveraging technology to improve efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in innovative, locally developed technology solutions.

According to a joint statement, the Evaluation Automation System introduces a fully digital, paperless environment where applicants can submit applications online, upload documents, make payments, and receive digitally verifiable certificates.

The statement underscored the significance of this launch, since the evaluation of qualifications is a critical function of the NQA that ensures both local and international qualifications are credible, valid, and comparable within Namibia’s National Qualifications Framework (NQF).

Moreover, the evaluation process previously relied heavily on manual systems, resulting in extended turnaround times, administrative inefficiencies, and limited real-time data for decision-making.

The system is set to address these challenges by reducing turnaround times and minimising manual processes, enhancing accuracy and consistency in evaluations, providing real-time application tracking and improved communication with applicants, accountability, and auditability through secure digital records, and enabling data-driven decision-making through integrated reporting and analytics tools

Green Enterprise Solutions played a central role in the design, development, and implementation of the system. Leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform and cloud-based technologies. The company delivered a robust, scalable, and secure solution tailored to the NQA’s regulatory and operational requirements.

In addition to System development, Green facilitated stakeholder engagement, conducted user training, and ensured knowledge transfer to NQA staff, further strengthening institutional capacity and sustainability.

The system further aligns with the country’s broader national development priorities, including Vision 2030 and the National Development Plans, by promoting efficiency, innovation, and service excellence in the public sector.

While the launch of the System is a significant achievement, it represents only the beginning of a broader digital journey. The NQA said it is actively working to build a comprehensive digital ecosystem that will integrate its core functions and enhance stakeholder experience across all services.

Both institutions reaffirmed their shared commitment to continuous innovation and collaboration in strengthening Namibia’s education and training ecosystem. The system has been designed with the future in mind, scalable, adaptable, and responsive to evolving needs and emerging technologies.
